Info about Zoos

There have been a lot of controversial opinions about Zoos in general. Some people believe they are great, especially since Zoos have evolved so much, while others believe that they are damaging as they take the animals out of their natural habitat and condemn them to a life behind bars. Even with the new free of bars habitats, some people still believe Zoos are keeping animals imprisoned. There are those who have even compared Zoos and animals to humans and our planet. Some people believe this planet is also a bigger Zoo that is keeping us trapped. If our planet is our personal Zoo, things might not look as bad as they did. Still, in order to make a better idea about this comparison, we should take each example separately and try to find some common grounds, maybe even some differences.
When it comes to Zoos seen as prisons, a lot of people might believe it to be a wrong conception and statement. After all, though Zoos might have started rough, they have also managed to evolve and expand as much as possible as to offer the animals the freedom they need. Their habitat is completely reconstructed, as Zoo owners are now doing their best to keep the animals safe and make them feel at home. The only problems with them would be actually changing animal nature. Though they are born and grown in a similar habitat to their own natural one, animals still seem to loose their natural instincts. The good art though is that they have no idea what they are missing. This is not even necessarily a bad thing as they get fed, without being predators and without being hunted down. I guess they get somehow civilized, and they live their life under a certain conduit. So, where is the damage, than? They live a longer life, they are taken care of, they get fed and they get to have their families around. A Zoo turned out to be quite a comfortable home for animals.
When it comes to humans, most people don`t even notice that they are trapped in a confined space. As animals in large Zoos, people feel free to live their lives the way they want it to. Still, it is somehow strange that just as animals; people also live their lives following a certain prototype. They go to kinder garden and school at certain ages, they get married at certain ages, they follow traditions, the have children and follow the same cycle all over again. They also have no idea that this planet is their own Zoo. Just as a large Zoo, it is large, thus it offers you the illusion of freedom, and it offers you certain rules to live your life by. Still, people have to work for their food, they have to fight for their own place and they often hunt or get hunted. So, I guess there are still some controversial ideas floating around as our planet seems to be less domestic than a Zoo.
